Our Banana Mug Cake isn't your ordinary mug cake recipe made with box cake mix - although we love that kind, too.
This 5-minute dessert is made from scratch with typical pantry items plus a special Hawaiian ingredient.
That's right! We're adding tropical flavor to your mug straight from the Big Island with Punalu'u Bakeshop Banana Macadamia Nut Shortbread Cookies for a sweet banana treat that's too good to share!
1 TBSP butter
1 egg
1 TBSP milk
1 ripe banana, mashed
3 TBSP plain flour
2 TBSP brown sugar
½ tsp baking powder
2 Punalu’lu Banana Macadamia Nut Cookies, crushed
Fresh sliced bananas
Beat in the egg and banana.
Add melted butter and mix.
Add the dry ingredients, milk and combine.
Cook in the microwave for 90 seconds.
If not fully cooked, put back in microwave for additional 30 seconds.
Top with crushed cookies and sliced banana. Enjoy!
