We live in Hawaii. Of course, we’re going to make a fresh seafood dish every chance we get. 😉
Our Hawaiian Shrimp Linguine is the perfect recipe if you’re looking to add a bit of elegant flavor to your evening.
Made with fresh shrimp sauteed in Premium Macadamia Nut Oil from Maiden Hawaii Naturals and a homemade white wine sauce with sun-dried tomatoes, this romantic pasta plate pairs well with a glass of red wine and your favorite mood lighting.
½ lb. linguine
1 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 TBS Premium Macadamia Nut Oil by Maiden Hawaii Naturals
½ onion, thinly sliced
1 clove of garlic, minced
3 TBS white wine
2 TBS sun-dried tomatoes, thinly sliced
2 TBS capers
¼ cup shredded parmesan cheese
½ tsp salt
Basil, thinly sliced for garnish
Cook linguine according to package directions; drain and keep warm.
Heat 1 tablespoon of the oil in a skillet on medium heat.
Sauté onion and garlic until golden brown; remove from skillet and set aside.
Add the remaining 1 tablespoon oil to the skillet and sauté shrimp for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add onion, garlic, wine, sun dried tomatoes, capers, Parmesan cheese, and salt; toss gently.
Serve shrimp on linguine and sprinkle with basil.
