Macadamia Nut Hummus

With the buttery flavor of MacNuts and the creamy consistency of traditional hummus, this recipe is what dreams are made of and is the perfect tropical dip to add to your holiday gathering this year.
We whipped up a hummus recipe (see it below),but added a tasty twist of spice and nuttiness with the Volcanic Legend Seasoning & Rub from Ohana Spice Trading Company and Premium Macadamia Nut Oil from Maiden Hawaii Naturals.

1 can (15 1/2 oz.) garbanzo beans, drain and reserve liquid
1/3 cup tahini
1/4 cup Hawaiian Maiden Culinary Macadamia Oil + extra for drizzle
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1 tsp minced garlic
1 1/2 tsp. Ohana Spice Legend Seasoning + extra for garnish
Crudities or crisp pita chips
- In a food processor combine garbanzo beans, tahini, macadamia oil, lemon juice, garlic and legend seasoning.
- Purée the ingredients, slowly adding the reserved liquid from the garbanzo beans, until mixture is a smooth paste.
- Before serving, top with a drizzle of Macadamia Nut Culinary Oil and sprinkle top with Legend Seasoning
- Serve as a dip for vegetables or crisp pita chips.
