INGREDIENTS

- 3 tablespoons paprika
- 2 tablespoons For Js Hawai'i Kiawe Smoke Gourmet Sea Salt
- 2 teaspoons black pepper
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme
- ½ cup Honua Macadamia Nut Blossom Honey
- ¼ cup red wine vinegar
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, peeled and cut in half
- 3 to 3 ½ pounds pork shoulder, cut in half

Da Kine Original BBQ Sauce to top or dipping!

METHOD

1. Mix the Spices: In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the paprika, Hawaiian salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and dried thyme. Use a fork to mix them well.
2. Create the Paste: Add the honey, red wine vinegar, and olive oil to the spice mixture. Stir until it forms a paste.
3. Prepare the Slow Cooker: Place the onion halves at the bottom of the slow cooker. Position the two pieces of pork shoulder on top of the onion.
4. Add the Paste: Pour the honey paste over all sides of the pork. It’s okay if some of it drips down to the bottom.
5. Cook: Set the slow cooker to low and let it cook for 7 to 8 hours, or until the pork is tender enough to be easily shredded with a fork.
6. Serve: Enjoy the pulled pork warm with your favorite fixings. It’s great on dinner rolls for small sliders, alongside our Pineapple Coleslaw recipe
