Spring is the perfect time to indulge in a sweet and decadent treat featuring our Flavor of the Month: Guava! We’ve taken classic Hawaiian Sweet Rolls, already delicious on its own, and elevated it by filling it with a rich, homemade mixture of Dip Into Paradise Guava Jam, Coconut Butter, Guava Butter, and Mahina Mele Izzie Macs for an irresistible island-inspired delight.
This is the perfect brunch recipe for Easter, Mother’s Day, or any time you’re craving something warm, sweet, and tropical!
Ingredients:
For the Rolls:
- 9 Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
- 8 oz Dip Into Paradise Guava Jam
- 2 tbsp sugar
- ½ cup + 2 tsp Dip Into Paradise Coconut Butter
- ½ cup + 2 tbsp Mahina Mele Izzie Macs, chopped
For the Glaze:
- 3 tsp Dip Into Paradise Guava Butter
- 3 tsp Dip Into Paradise Coconut Butter
- 2 tbsp Mahina Mele Izzie Macs, chopped
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the Rolls: Using a bread knife, carefully slice the Hawaiian Sweet Rolls in half horizontally.
- Prepare the Baking Dish: Lightly coat an 8x8 baking pan with cooking spray and place the bottom half of the rolls inside.
- Make the Filling: In a bowl, mix together the Guava Jam, Sugar, and Coconut Butter until well combined.
- Assemble the Rolls: Spread the guava-coconut mixture evenly over the bottom half of the rolls, then place the top half back on.
- Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the rolls are light golden brown.
- Prepare the Glaze: While the rolls are baking, mix together the Guava Butter and Coconut Butter until smooth.
- Glaze & Garnish: Remove the rolls from the oven, brush the warm rolls with the glaze, and sprinkle with chopped macadamia nuts.
