Hawaiian Halloween Ube Cocktail and Mocktail

What's on your roster for Halloween night? Are you planning a spooky bash? Are you going to cozy up with some horror flicks?

Either way, this Halloween Ube Cocktail is just the *spirit* you need to celebrate this holiday in true Hawaiian style. With it's vibrant purple coloring, Hamakua Coast Premium Ube Syrup is the star of this recipe and gives it the perfect hint of sweetness.

Hamakua Coast Premium Ube Cheesecake Martini 

Ingredients: 

2 ounces whipped vodka
1 ounce amaretto (Disaronno)
1 ounce Irish cream liqueur (Baileys)
1 ounce half and half
1 ounce Hamakua Coast Premium Ube Syrup
Honey, graham cracker crumbs

Method:

Begin with two shallow dishes or plates. To one, add a teaspoon of honey. To the other, add the graham cracker crumbs. Rim the edge of the martini glass first in the honey and then in the graham cracker crumbs. Set aside.

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the vodka, amaretto, Irish cream, HCP Ube Syrup and half and half. Shake vigorously. Strain into your prepared martini glass.

 

Ube Mocktail Lava Flow

For the Keikis (Kids)

Ingredients: 

1.5 oz coconut cream

1.5 oz pineapple juice

2 oz Hāmākua Coast Premium Ube syrup

Ice

 

Method:

Place coconut cream, and pineapple juice in a blender.

Add ice and blend until smooth.

Drizzle HCP Ube Syrup on bottom of cocktail glass.

Pour blended drink into glass, add your favorite local garnish, straw, and enjoy.
