Hawaiian Coconut Rice
Our September Aloha Flavor of the Month is coconut, and we'll be bringing you four different coconut recipes in honor of that.
We love coconut for its nutty flavor, and we know the rest of the world does, too. In fact, World Coconut Day is on September 2nd! So, to celebrate this versatile flavor, we're sharing our recipe for Hawaiian Coconut Rice.
Perfect as a side or mixed with chicken (check out our Chicken Luau) for a main dish, this jasmine rice recipe has the sweet flavor of coconut because we cook it in Coconut Milk from Noh Foods.

Ingredients
- 2 cups jasmine rice
- 1 package Noh Foods Coconut Milk
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Method

Rinse the jasmine rice and strain.

Prepare the Coconut Milk according to package instructions.

Add coconut milk and water to a saucepan over high heat and bring to a boil.

Add salt and rinsed rice, reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until all of the liquid is absorbed.

Remove from the heat and let rest for 15 minutes.

Remove the lid and fluff the rice with a fork.
